Flat Head
That is, the top of the ampoule is clamped flat but not drawn. The causes of this problem are
l Preheating flame and drawing flame are both too small.
l Inflexible rotation of the bearing of the pressed ampoule or too little pressure.
l The wall of the individual ampoule is too thick.
Solution
l Strengthen the flame power of both front and rear flames.
l Replace the new bearing or adjust the spring in the ampoule press to strengthen the pressure so that the ampoule can turn normally and form the drawing.
l Clear the unqualified ampoule.
Tip
That is, the top of the ampoule after melting and sealing is pointed. The reasons the causes are
l Too small drawing flame.
l Too short tempering time after ampoule drawing.
l The distance between the bottom of the drawing clip and the horizontal centerline of the flame is too large.
l The wall of the individual ampoule is too thick.
Solution
l Strengthen the drawing flame intensity.
l Adjust the control head cam to extend the tempering time.
l Adjust the distance of the bottom of the drawing clip slightly higher than the centerline of the flame level by about 1 mm (the normal position of the machinery).
l Clear the unqualified ampoule.
Bubblehead
It is obvious that large bubbles are formed at the top of the ampoule after melting and sealing, which can be easily broken. The causes are as follows
l Too strong drawing flame.
l Too long tempering time after ampoule drawing.
l The bottom of the drawing clip is slightly lower than the horizontal centerline of the flame, which can be sealed but easy to form small bubbles.
Solution
l Reduce the intensity of the drawing flame.
l Shorten the tempering time of the ampoule after drawing.
l Adjust the centerline of the drawing clip and the flame level to the normal distance.
Deflated head
The top of the ampoule forms a depression after melting and sealing. The causes are as follows
l The ampoule first forms a bubblehead during the drawing process and then shrinks after cooling.
l The heating flame is too small to dry the tiny water vapor on the ampoule wall, which causes the newly formed ampoule top arc to shrink by cold and form a deflated head.
Solution
l Treat as the solution for the deflated head.
l Strengthen the heating flame to make the ampoule neck fully heated so that the tiny water vapor will evaporate as early as possible.
Broken head
It means the top of the ampoule is not sealed. Causes of occurrence are
l Mechanical causes.
l Excessive blistering of the head.
l Excessive deflated head.
Solution
l Adjust the centerline of the drawing clip and flame level to the normal distance.
l Treat according to the method of bubblehead and deflated head.
